Thousand Island Viewpoint
Located on the eastern side of Nusa Penida, Thousand Island Viewpoint (Pulau Seribu) is one of the most scenic spots on the island. This cliff-side viewpoint features breathtaking views of the islands and seascape.
It also features the iconic Rumah Pohon Tree House, which has become a popular Instagram spot. There is a small entrance fee to enter the area, but it’s well worth the visit.
The site is often busy, especially on a sunny day. Visitors should wear comfortable footwear and clothing, as the hike can be a bit challenging in the heat.
Nusa Penida Tree House
Located on the east side of Nusa Penida, Rumah Pohon Tree House (or Tree House Molenteng) is an amazing cliff-top dwelling with views of Atuh and Diamond Beach. It is part of the Thousand Island Viewpoint area and costs 10,000 rupiah to enter, which is less than $1 USD.

Broken Beach
Broken Beach, also known as Pasih Uug, is a natural wonder that captivates visitors with its rugged coastline and pristine cove. This unique destination has become a favorite among travel photographers and nature lovers alike.
The best time to visit Broken Beach is during the dry season, from April to October. This is when the weather is typically sunny and calm, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
There are several ways to reach Broken Beach, including renting a scooter or joining a group tour. However, it is recommended to rent a scooter only if you’re an experienced driver, as Nusa Penida roads are not suitable for beginners.
Angel’s Billabong
Angel’s Billabong is a natural rock pool that is popular with tourists and locals alike. Located near Broken Beach, it features clear waters and unique rock formations. It is also one of the best spots for viewing the sunset on Nusa Penida.
Swimming in this natural infinity pool is only possible during low tide. Otherwise, it is dangerous because of the strong waves that can drag swimmers straight out to sea.
This tourist attraction is around 17 km from Toya Pakeh Harbour and can be reached by car or rented motorbikes. Motorbike rentals are available in most accommodation options or at many rental shops in town.
Kelingking Beach
Located on the west side of Nusa Penida, Kelingking Beach is a must-see destination for nature lovers. The beach features a gorgeous cove with a natural archway and a turquoise pond. It’s also home to magnificent photos stops like Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong.
The main lookout point offers an epic view of the T-Rex-shaped cliffs and secluded beach below. The hike down to the beach is not easy and requires a decent level of fitness. But it’s worth it for those who are up for the challenge and not afraid of heights.
Crystal Bay Beach
Located on the west side of Nusa Penida, Crystal Bay is a stunning beach. Its white sand and crystal clear seawater make it an exceptional location for snorkeling and scuba diving. It is also a beautiful spot for sunbathing and relaxing. There are also several warungs on the sand selling snacks and drinks.
It is best to visit this beach during the day when it is calm and warm. You can also enjoy it in the evening for a sunset viewing session, especially during the Mola-mola oceanic sunfish season (July-October). Getting to Crystal Bay is easy. There are plenty of taxis on the island that can take you there or you can hire a driver for a full day to explore multiple locations safely.
Teletubbies Hill
Bukit Teletubbies, or Teletubbies Hill, is a popular Instagrammable destination in Nusa Penida. It’s a group of grassy hills that are said to resemble the rotund creatures from the children’s TV show.
You can reach the hills in about 40-50 minutes by taking a speed boat from the mainland or Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan. It’s also possible to join a day tour that includes a stop at Teletubbies Hill and other highlights along the southeast coast of the island.
